Legal Secretary/Administrator

Nicholsons Lawyers is seeking a full time experienced Legal Secretary/Administrator.

This person will be working in the firm’s Commercial team under one of our Commercial Partners and will be required to perform a high volume of administrative tasks with the utmost attention to detail.

 

Applicants who have successfully completed their NZ Legal Executive papers or who are interested in doing so would be considered favourable.

 

Job Description

Provide comprehensive administrative support ensuring efficient and timely work flow.

Manage calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings with clients and internal staff
Prepare legal documents relating to commercial and property matters including Sale and Purchase Agreements, Leases, Wills, Loan Securities, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Land Information New Zealand documents.

Assisting in organising and maintaining client files

Learning and utilising the firm’s Practice Management system to its full potential .

Collaborate closely with team members to maintain and streamline processes.

Liaising with solicitors, clients, other professionals, and Government agencies

Drafting letters and emails as required

Preparing statements and invoices

 

Requirements

Detail-oriented and highly organised

Exceptional administrative skills ideally in legal administration

Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to handling sensitive information

Proficiency in using computer software and advanced knowledge in Microsoft office

Excellent computer, typing, and formatting skills, including digital dictation transcription

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact confidently with both clients and colleagues.
